Grey's Anatomy season 12 will return to ABC with episode 12 this Thursday. The show moves on after the separation of Jackson Avery and April Kepner and the shocking revelation that she is pregnant again.
The upcoming instalment of the popular medical drama will follow the same track and fans will know whether or not April will tell Jackson about the baby. It will also bring back its focus on Meredith.
In the previous episode, Japril signed the divorce papers and April tells Arizona that she is pregnant. In a promo released by ABC, Arizona can be seen forcing April to tell Jackson about their baby but she does not think the pregnancy will change his mind about the divorce, and confesses that she is actually happy and does not want to complicate her life any further.
While many hearts broke at the sight of their favourite characters parting ways, Sarah Drew, who plays the character of April, told EW that there is hope for the couple, especially after the baby news.
"I totally think this baby could bring them back together. Nobody wants somebody to stay with them just because they're having a baby; that just leads to resentment — April definitely doesn't want that. I could definitely see down the road, through different sets of circumstances, this baby being the thing that brings them back together for sure," she told the website.
Here is the synopsis of episode 12 titled My Next Life:
A patient from Meredith's very first surgery as an Intern is readmitted to Grey Sloan Memorial with a new aneurysm, and Amelia takes her case. Meanwhile, Maggie suspects that Richard knows about her relationship with Andrew, and Arizona debates dating again.
After the divorce of Japril, the medical drama will now focus on the emerging romance between Maggie Pierce and Andrew DeLuca. The official description also suggests that Richard knows about the budding romance.
It will be interesting to see how love blossoms inside the Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital after the end of Jackson and April's romance.
