She is the world's most famous reality star but Kim Kardashian could soon be competing with the likes of JK Rowling as an accomplished writer.
According to the Daily Star, the 33-year-old beauty has ventured into the literary world and is working on her first novel, which is loosely based on experiences from her own life in the limelight.
''The book's about the tangled love lives of three sisters with a pushy mum, trying to make it big in Hollywood," a source told the newspaper.
''The storyline centres on an up-and-coming actress Kai and her sisters- Karissa, who's a wannabe model, and Kayleigh, who's trying to forge a career as a singer."
Kardashian - who has seven-month-old daughter North with fiancé Kanye West - is said to have recruited a professional ghost-writer to assist her with the book.
The source added: ''She's not the greatest writer but she has a very active imagination and knows the Hollywood scene inside out.''
The mother-of-one, who is managed by her mother Kris Jenner, is hoping that her new project will lead to more creative ventures.
The source added: ''The plan is to have the book finished in the coming months so she can start pitching it to publishers ... It could be the first of many. Kim's even thinking it could get turned into a TV movie or a mini-series one day.''
She is not the only reality star to explore her creativity through writing.
In 2010 Sharon Osbourne wrote Revenge and in 2011 Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi published A Shore Thing.
