Watch Shadowhunters episode 5 online: Jace asks Alec to keep Clary safe from Valentine

Shadowhunters returns on Freeform with episode 5 titled Moo Shu To Go on 9 February. The episode will focus on the budding relationship between warlock Magnus and Alec. Clary, who has a crush for Jace, will try to recollect more of her memory to fight the rouge shadowhunter and her father, Valentine.

Fans of Malec (Magnus and Alec) are in for some cute moments between the two as as TVLine has reported that the warlock will ask Alec out on a date. "It was really nice getting to know you. Would you like to go out for a drink sometime?" the warlock asks the shadowhunter coyly.

The synopsis of the episode suggests that Jace will go on a mission due to which he will ask Alec to keep Clary safe from Valentine's wrath. But the two will find it difficult to get adjusted with each other due to their conflicting nature.

In the previous episode, Clary, Jace and Alec had gone to see the demon with the help of Magnus to retrieve Clary's memory. But due to Alec's insecurities about Jace, their spell over the demon broke and Clary kills it along with her memory.

The synopsis of the episode reads:

Tensions escalate between Alec and Clary as they don't see eye to eye on the best way to hunt down Valentine. But when Jace and Isabelle are sent on an intel mission to the Seelies by Maryse Lightwood, Alec is put in charge of keeping Clary safe, much to both of their chagrin. With his hard-as-nails mother back in town and Clary's rule-breaking tendencies, Alec finds himself struggling to stick to the Claves rules while keeping his promise to Jace.

Meanwhile, the New York City Werewolf pack begins their hunt for Clary and The Mortal Cup.
