Bodies of two of the four miners trapped in a flooded mine in south Wales were found during the rescue operation, police said on Friday.

The miners were caught 90 meters under the flooded Gleision Colliery at Pontardawe on Thursday morning.

Rescue workers found the body of one miner on Thursday night while the second miner's body was traced on Friday morning.

Welsh Secretary Cheryl Gillan was quoted as saying to BBC that she was going to call a civil contingency meeting in the cabinet office. She said Prime Minister Cameron had been in constant touch during on his way back from Libya.
