The London Metropolitan Police (MPS) seized a large quantity of Cathinone Derivative (also called the "Meow Meow" drug) at Wembley on Saturday, during a random car search.

According to a release by the Metropolitan Police, officer from the Central Task Force stopped and searched a silver Vauxhall Vectra, on Sudbury Court Drive. They found four carboard boxes, containing a total of 51 kilograms of the drug. The 26-year-old driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug and is currently in custody.

"This arrest and seizure has disrupted a significant supply of Meow Meow within London and the Home Counties. It will reinforce the message that the MPS will continue to combat the criminal networks engaged in drug trafficking," said Detective Inspector Colin Stephenson in a statement.

The seizure is thought to have a street value in excess of £100,000.
