Liverpool failed to seal three points during their Premier League tie against West Bromwich Albion as Kolo Toure's blunder saw the Reds settle for a 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns.

Daniel Sturridge's close range finish in the 24th minute saw Brendan Rodgers' side take 1-0 before half four mark. The score line remained same until the former Arsenal and Manchester City defender's howler gifted West Brom a point in the game.

The Ivory Coast international's mistake of directly passing the ball Victor Anichebe just outside the box in the 67th minute saw the 25-year-old put the ball behind Simon Mignolet to level the score. The final score stayed at 1-1.

Liverpool could have taken a four point lead over fifth place Everton if the defender could have avoided the blunder. The Reds are fourth in the table with 47 points from 24 games, leading their Merseyside rivals by two points.

After Toure gifted West Brom a point, Twitter users shared their opinion on the social networking site.

Touré was a wee bit unlucky to be truthful with you. It was a terrific pass in all honesty, as I say. Just to the wrong player. Okay.

I feel criticism of Kolo Toure is little bit harsh. As through-balls go, his pass directly to the feet of Anichebe was exceptional.

Kolo Toure's assist to Anichebe for WBA's goal would make "SAS" proud.
