The mother of Whitney Houston is planning an emotional pilgrimage to the hotel room that the legendary singer spent her final moments in desperate bid to get closure.

According to reports, Cissy Houston is set to make the trip to room number 434 at the Beverly Hills hotel room in Los Angeles, where her daughter was found dead in a bathtub earlier this month.

Cissy apparently wants to take some quite time to pray and spiritually connect with her deceased daughter, who tragically passed away on 11 February.

A source close to the 78-year-old gospel star, told TMZ : "[She] won't be at peace until she gets closure.

"It's unclear when Cissy plans to return to the hotel room - but we're told the visit will be soon ... she's currently planning out the logistics."

The insider adds that Cissy wants to spend some "quiet, contemplative time" in the room to help come to terms with the Houston's sudden death.

Houston, 48, was found unresponsive in a bathtub in the luxury hotel on the eve of the Grammy Awards, music's biggest night.

She was laid to rest beside her father in her hometown Newark, New Jersey, a week after she died.

A cause of death is still under investigation pending toxicology reports.
