Microsoft confirmed that a fix is now available for the Calendar app in Windows Phone 8.1 Preview for Developer.

Microsoft had recently released an update for the Calendar app with version number v 1.0.14127.246. But the update introduced a bug, making the Calendar app unusable for many.

A number of users reported, on Twitter, that the Windows Phone 8.1 Preview for the Developer Calendar app crashes while trying to create a new appointment.

Neowin claims to have tested the Calendar app on a range of devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1 Preview for Developer version, Lumia 630 running Windows Phone 8 and Lumia Cyan firmware. The same issue has been noticed on each of the devices with the Calendar app crashing every time.

The Windows Phone Support team is aware of the issue and is currently working on it.

But creating, editing and deleting appointments in the Calendar using Cortana digital voice assistant seem to be working fine.

Now, Joe Belfiore, corporate vice president and manager for Windows Phone Programme Management at Microsoft, announced that the Windows Phone 8.1 Calendar app fix is ready and available in the Windows Phone Store.

The update will not be available for all users at the moment, but is expected to reach all regions soon having version number 1.0.14127.247. Given below is the download link for the Calendar app. Check out if the updated version is available for your region.
