Stars from across the world flock to Cannes every year, dressed in the most expensive designer gowns. While some get it right, others astound with their 'creative' outfits. Hold on to your Philip Treacy hats as we bring you our selection of the worst dressed at Cannes this year.

Leading the pack is Bai Ling, the 46-year-old Chinese born American actress who was a vision as she arrived for the screening of the film " Behind the Candelabra" in a black top with American footballer shoulder pads and pants imprinted with human skulls. The less spoken about the dress, the better.

It definitely wasn't a good day for Eva Longoria as she got it all wrong in a green knickerless Versace gown. Julianne Moore wore an unflattering Christian Dior gown with ill-fitting shoes.

Milla Jovovich strolled the red carpet in an Armani number that failed to make an impression. The designer was more than generous with the amount of fabric, which billowed around the actress.

Russian star Elena Lenina was in top form and would have won first prize - for a Halloween party.

Slovakian fashion model and actress, Adriana Karembeu, arrived for the screening of the film "Behind the Candelabra" in an embroidered transparent top, with pieces of cut cloths hanging from her waist to her ankles. A strange choice but certainly something you wouldn't find on the high street.

Bollywood stars Aishwarya Rai and Vidya Balan got it all wrong. The former was clad in an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla number which added more years to her frame and the latter in traditional dress by Sabyasachi which failed to shine.
