WWE Backlash 2017 confirmed matches:

Randy Orton (champion) vs Jinder Mahal (WWE Championship)

Randy Orton was in the middle of a feud with Bray Wyatt; however, the company's push to enter new markets, especially as vast as India has given rise to Jinder Mahal as the No. 1 contender to the WWE Championship. While the Maharaja's push is not surprising, his win over The Viper, who also happens to be 13-time WWE champion, will come as a shock to the fans.

Kevin Owens (champion) vs AJ Styles (US championship)

Kevin Owens moved to SmackDown Live from Monday Night Raw in the "superstar shakeup". Since then KO has been trying to take over the blue brand from AJ Styles. However, as The Phenomenal One is the alpha dog at SmackDown Live, he will try his best to win the title from the current US champion.

The Usos (champion) vs Breezango (SmackDown Tag Team championship)

Tyler Breeze and Fandango won the Beat-the-Clock Challenge to earn their first shot at SmackDown Tag Team Championship. However, the probability of the duo winning the title is very slim.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Dolph Ziggler

Shinsuke Nakamura will be making his main roster in-ring debut at the show with a fight against Dolph Ziggler. He joined SmackDown Live nearly six weeks ago.

Naomi and Becky Lynch and Charlotte vs Natalya and Carmella and Tamina

This is an exciting match as Charlotte's heel turn and team up with Naomi and Becky Lynch could get a further push with this fight.
