WWE No Mercy 2016: Date, start time, venue, confirmed matches and rumours

WWE has lined up some exciting matches for No Mercy 2016 that fans will get to witness on 9 October. The SmackDown Live pay-per-view (PPV) event's main card will air live from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California at 8pm ET, while the kick off match will start at 7pm ET on the WWE Network.

John Cena vs Dean Ambrose vs AJ Styles (WWE World Championship)

AJ Styles won the title after he defeated Ambrose at Backlash 2016, which was held at Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia on 11 September. However, the champion now will have to defend his title against Dean Ambrose and John Cena in a triple threat match.

The Miz vs Dolph Ziggler (Intercontinental title vs Career)

The match was announced during the previous episode of SmackDown Live. Dolph Ziggler decided to risk it all after The Miz slammed the former, saying that he always came short against the champion.

Becky Lynch vs Alexa Bliss (Women's Championship)

Becky Lynch submitted Carmella to win the six-pack challenge for the title at Backlash. The match saw Nikki Bella, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, Natalya, Becky Lynch and Carmella fight for the title. Now, Lynch will have to defend her title against Bliss, who won the right to challenge the champion after she defeated Bella, Natalya, Naomi and Carmella in a fatal 5-Way on 13 September.

The Usos vs Rhyno and Heath Slater (Tag Team Championship)

The Usos squares off against Heath Slater and Rhyno in a rematch for the Tag Team Championship at WWE No Mercy 2016. Heath Slater and Rhyno won the vacant title after they defeated Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso via pinfall at Backlash.

Randy Orton vs Bray Wyatt

The two wrestlers were scheduled to fight at Backlash but that did not materialised as Wyatt assaulted The Viper backstage. The Eater of Worlds won the match via forfeit. However, this time around, Orton is geared up to face the New Face of Fear.

Rumoured matches:

Baron Corbin vs Jack Swagger

There are rumours that Baron Corbin and Jack Swagger could square off at No Mercy 2016. According to Sportsrageous, Swagger after joining SmackDown Live has set his target on The Lone Wolf.

Nikki Bella vs Carmella

Another rumoured fight doing the rounds is between Nikki Bella and Carmella. The two divas could face off at No Mercy 2016 as Carmella is said to be jealous of Bella ever since she returned from her injury.
