Big Show has confirmed the news that WWE fans have been waiting for – there will be a Shaquille O'Neal showdown. The 7ft wrestling star let the cat out the back during a recent chat with TMZ, telling the site that the duo had already got the wheels in motion for Wrestlemaina 33.

When asked about the highly-anticipated clash of the titans he said: "That's confirmed. We talked on the carpet at the ESPYs and that was kind of a 'hey let's do this' and then we got the ball rolling so as far as I know it's happening."

However, the 44-year-old star, whose real name is Paul Randall Wight Jr, said that it was "still early" to get into the details. "If you start talking now; it's Wrestmaina next year. I would look to start picking up around probably January; we'll start picking it up real heavy," he explained.

Although he believes he has the upper hand in the ring, the basketball court is another story. "I couldn't touch Shaq with a ten foot pool on court. He is one of the best big men that ever played. His speed, his dominance, the way he gets up and down the floor."

"The intangible thing that Shaq created in the court was presence. He had those arms, that size and that presence and that athletic ability. You can't mess with that. Those were the glory days."

While Big Show applauds O'Neals ability and showmanship and charm as a WWE star, he insisted that "It doesn't mean I'm not gonna slap the crap out of him when I get the chance!"

For now Big Show is busy working on other ventures including his free-throwing instructional video that he says will help the "little fellas" out there. He told TMZ: "If you know someone who needs help shooting free throws perhaps you can share the video with them to help."
