The X Factor 2013 has reached its final stage. Viewers were asked to pick songs for the top four semi-finalists to sing this week and after hundreds of thousands of votes, the results are in, reports Small Screen Scoop.

Here's what viewers decided they wanted to hear from the The X Factor 2013 Final Four:

Alex & Sierra: Of Monsters and Men, "Little Talks"

Carlito Olivero: Justin Bieber, "Boyfriend"

Jeff Gutt: Jeff Buckley, "Hallelujah"

Restless Road: Luke Bryan, "That's My Kind of Night"

The final four acts will take the stage on 11 December for the last time before the finale. Who will be the last act standing? It's anyone's game now at The X Factor and it remains to be seen whether the songs fans and viewers chose will make or break the contestants' acts.

On Thursday, one last act will be eliminated before the finale and Jennifer Nettles and Enrique Iglesias will perform live.

One of the four remaining contestants will be sent home based on viewers' votes, while the three finalists will perform again next week before the winner is announced.

Ellona Santiago and Rion Paige were eliminated from the show last week. Santiago was the sixth hopeful to leave the competition, having received the least amount of public votes to go through to the semi-finals. Paige was left to battle for the last spot in the semi-finals against Carlito Olivero, as per a report by Digital Spy.

While the 13-year-old's mentor Demi Lovato voted to save her, the other three judges opted to save Olivero.

Simon Cowell had the deciding vote in Paige's elimination and justified his reasons after the show:

"I didn't think she could win," Cowell explained. "She's 13 or 14 years old and she's got a long way ahead of her and she'll be remembered.

"I thought that with Carlito, if you look at his background, how hard he tries, the underdog - I just kind of felt that maybe he deserves that extra shot."
