It will be a star-studded weekend at The X Factor 2015 with Adele, One Direction, Coldplay and Leona Lewis confirmed to perform in the final. It is also expected that finalists Louisa Johnson, Reggie N Bollie and Che Chesterman will duet with some well-known singers in their hopes of being crowned the winner.

The ITV series, which will air its finale episodes on 12 and 13 December 2015, confirmed that Adele will grace the stage at Wembley Arena to sing her smash hit single Hello, lifted off her record-breaking third album 25. Joining Adele on the line-up is British boy band One Direction, who will perform their latest single Infinity, taken from their chart-topping fifth album Made In The A.M. It will be one of the group's last performances before embarking on their hiatus.

Also entertaining the audiences and judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora will be Coldplay, who are expected to sing Adventure Of A Lifetime which features on their new album A Head Full Of Dreams. The band are currently locked in a tight race with Adele to claim the number one spot on the UK charts with their new release.

There are plenty more surprises in store over the weekend, with the series announcing a duet between 2011 X Factor winners Little Mix and 2014's runner-up Fleur East on Saturday 12 December. Leona Lewis, who won the competition in 2006, is also set to hit the stage with Ben Haenow, who beat Fleur East to win last year's series and will also perform his single Slamming Doors.

Since going through to the finals on 6 December, Johnson, Reggie N Bollie and Chesterman have been rehearsing for their last chance to win over the public vote. It was initially thought Johnson would have to pull out of the final due to an illness but producers have since confirmed she is fit enough to appear. Although she is yet to be crowned the winner of the 12th series, Johnson, 17, is bookmaker Ladbrokes' favourite to claim the Christmas number one with the X Factor winner' single.
