Sony has released the latest KitKat software update with Android version 4.4.4 for its mid-range Xperia T3 smartphone, which was launched in June last year with OS version 4.4.2.
The Android KitKat update is currently live for both the LTE variant with model numbers D5103 and the D5106 and HSPA+ variant bearing model number D5102. But the update build numbers for both the models are different; for the LTE model the new Android OS comes with build number 18.1.A.2.25, whereas the for the HSPA+ it is noted to be 18.1.A.2.32, reports XperiaBlog.
The official changelog for the update is not available yet, but recognised XDA developer Jozinek said that the phone is now quite fast and stable with the update. Additionally, the developer has provided the download links for the FTF files, which can be directly flashed on Xperia T3 using latest Flashtool. The firmware is Generic RU and without bloatware. As for the Android Lollipop update, Sony has provided a list of premium Xperia Z series devices which will receive sweet Android treatment next month starting with the Xperia Z3 line-up. Following this, Sony might release the update for other Xperia smartphones including the Xperia T3.
