Rebekah Vardy gags during the Worst Dates eating task ITV

Rebekah Vardy's footballer husband Jamie revealed that he voted for her to suffer through the gut-wrenching eating trial on I'm A Celeb "5 times" to his Twitter followers.

The 30-year-old Leicester City striker's admission comes as Rebekah's ex-husband Mark Godden has also claimed he is voting for her to do the Bushtucker Trials as he wants to see her "go through hell" on the ITV show.

Jamie, who has been married to the TV star for a year, wants his wife to endure the critter-infested challenges so that she can show how fearless she is.

He tweeted to his 606K followers: "Bex's face when she finds out that I voted for her 5 times on the app to do the eating trial. Sorry babe just wanted everyone to see that you're fearless & you proved me right".

The tweet was accompanied with a snap of Rebekah looking very shocked during her eating trial with Georgia "Toff" Toffolo, where the pair were faced with eating spiders, sheep's anus and bull's penis.

His fans were amused by his post, with one follower telling him: "She'll be killing you when she gets out off there".

Another person said: "Bet you're very proud. Well done bex. I couldn't do it."

Meanwhile, Rebekah's first husband is voting for the star to do trials for a very different reason.

Godden wants to see Rebekah suffer, and is getting his family and friends to vote for her to do Bushtucker Trials.

The electronics pro – who met Rebekah when he was 21 and she was 18 – still holds a grudge against his ex and even claims she cheated on him with a jet ski instructor. He subsequently divorced her in 2003.

Though she still vehemently denies being unfaithful, Godden believes karma is knocking on Rebekah's door.

The 38-year-old told The Mirror: "I'm an avid fan and this year it's even better because my ex is on it.

"While I don't want to see her win, although she'd love to, I want her to go through hell.

"We are all voting for her to get to the trials because we want her to suffer. We all want her to scream a bit," he added.

Rebekah recently confessed to sleeping with former pop star Peter Andre ahead of her stint in the jungle, and Godden claims it happened when they were still an item.

The I'm A Celeb star thinks they were "separated", however, previously stating: "I told [Peter] I was married. I wanted to be honest and I knew my marriage was coming to an end."
