Arsenal will find it difficult to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League after their defeat to Borussia Dortmund at the Emirates, believe the IBTimes UK sport team.

Arsene Wenger's side have been in sensational form in recent months but they now face an uphill task in advancing from the group stages of Europe's elite competition after losing 2-1 to last year's beaten finalists.

Arsenal are level on six points with Napoli and Dortmund, but now face the daunting task of playing both sides away from home.

With Marseille essentially out of the running, having not won a single game, there are three teams vying for just two places and despite Arsenal playing some wonderful football this season, they may just struggle to get the results they need away from home.

While the north London club may struggle to qualify for the last 16, the IBTimes team feel as though the Premier League will be well represented with Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City all comfortable making it through from their groups.

Chelsea proved they are back on track with victory over Schalke, while Manchester United sit top of a relatively easy group with seven points from their opening three games.

And despite Manchester City being unlikely to finish ahead of reigning champions Bayern Munich, Manuel Pellegrini should be able to seal second place by defeating Plzen and CSKA Moscow at the Etihad.
