Ashton Urges All Parties to Uphold Law in Resolving South China Sea Dispute
The European Union's top diplomat on Tuesday (July 29) urged all parties to follow the rule of law in resolving disputes in the South China Sea.
Catherine Ashton, the European Union's High Representative on Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, told reporters in Manila how conflict resolution mechanisms like the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea should be considered to avoid worsening tensions in the Asia-Pacific region.
