According to the YouTube Trends List of Top Political Videos of 2011, a speech in defence of gay marriage by Zach Wahls, 19, a student from University of Iowa, has topped the list, followed by President Obama's at the 2011 White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Rick Perry's ad and President Obama's speech on Osama bin Laden's death are also included in the list.

There is also a video titled "Brother, Can You Spare A Trillion? Government Gone Wild!", produced by Blaise Ingoglia which has also become popular in 2011.
