Argentina will take on Nigeria in a Group F clash of the 2014 Fifa World Cup at Estadio Beira-Rio, Porto Alegre on Wednesday.

Where to Watch Live

The kick-off is set for 5pm BST. Live coverage is on ITV 1. Live Radio commentary will be available on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Overview

Argentina will look to continue their winning run in the World Cup when they take on Nigeria in their final group game. The Albiceleste have not looked convincing in any of their wins so far, relying heavily on captain and talisman Lionel Messi to pull them through.

Alejandro Sabella has been criticised by the players and from outside regarding his tactics. Trying a 3-5-2 against Bosnia-Herzigovina backfired and it was when he shifted to 4-3-3 that they looked more potent.

However, the Argentineans struggled to break down Iran in their previous game, only winning through an injury time goal from Messi. The coach will hope that they can step up a gear and fire on all cylinders before the start of the knockout phase.

Meanwhile, Nigeria come into the game knowing that anything but a defeat will put them through to the next round. Even if they lose and Iran fail to beat Bosnia-Herzigovina they will be through.

Stephen Keshi does have a few injury concerns to deal with. Victor Moses is a doubtful candidate and his pace will be a big miss for the Super Eagles. But the coach will hope that his players can put up one last stand and make it to the knockout stage for the first time since the 1998 World Cup.

Since Nigeria's first appearance in the 1994 World Cup, the Super Eagles have been drawn in the same group as Argentina four times including this year.

What Managers Say

Alejandro Sabella (Argentina): "We have a few causes for concern. We don't have any problem. It didn't bother me at all. The atmosphere in the group is perfect. If you're not self-critical they say you are stubborn and if you are self-critical they say you are weak, I can't think about the outside when I make decisions. I think about the group that I command."

Stephen Keshi (Nigeria): "We need to work hard for the game against Argentina. Everybody is happy in West Africa; Ghana got their result and we won. It's good for the continent. The fighting spirit we showed was good. I never thought that we wouldn't make it to the Round of 16 because I have the players."
