So as all good things must come to an end , thoughts turn to the closing ceremony which is entitled 'A symphony of British Music 'and due to start at 9pm Sun. Pop stars from the past, present and future will be performing from –Brian May, Annie Lennox and George Michael, to The Spice Girls, through to Jessie J ,Tinie Tempeh and The pet Shop Boys. Plus lots of unnamed surprise guests.

There is speculation that the two-and-a-half hour production will include Adele singing Someone Like You, Ray Davies singing Waterloo Sunset and Kate Bush singing Running Up That Hill.

Eric Idle is expected to lead the crowds in a mass sing-along of Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.

And feature models of London landmarks including Tower Bridge, Big Ben and St Paul's Cathedral. Even Del Boy's Robin Reliant from Only Fools and Horses is also rumoured to be part of the show, in a segment replicating the London rush hour.

London 2012 Olympics, has been a fantastic opportunity for Team GB and Great Britain to show the rest of the world just how good we are.
