Samsung has sent out press invitations for a media event scheduled to be held on 29 of this month, indicating the launch of a new Galaxy device.

Samsung, via its official Twitter account, confirmed the event called 'Samsung Media day', which will be held on Tuesday 29 April at the Red Dot Design Museum, Singapore.

The company does not reveal any information about the product expected at the event but the invitation serves enough hints. The invite reads, 'Kapture The Moment', which sounds like a camera with the 'K' letter being highlighted. The invite also has a big K, which has a smartphone inside it.

The invitation with the giant K suggests that Samsung is expected to make an announcement about the new camera smartphone variant of Galaxy S5, the Galaxy S5 Zoom, which will be called Samsung Galaxy K, reports PhoneArena.

The Galaxy S5 Zoom or, Galaxy K with model number SM-C115 has been rumoured to feature a 4.8in Super AMOLED display with resolution measuring 1280 x 720 pixels. It will be powered by Exynos 5260 hexa-core processor, paired with quad-core ARM Mali-T624 graphics unit. The device will have 2GB RAM.

There will be a 20.2 megapixel camera sensor with technologies such as Optical Image Stabilisation, Xenon Flash and 10x optical zoom inside the Galaxy S5 Zoom, which will also have a 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera.

Besides, the camera smartphone will run Android 4.4.2 KitKat with latest TouchWiz UI and a clutch of camera features. It will offer Wi-Fi 802.11ac with the usual a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot and IR blaster for remote control access using Samsung's WatchOn service. It is expected to be NFC-enabled and offer Bluetooth v4.0 LE/ANT. The smartphone will support microSD card for additional space.
