Tottenham Transfer Rumour: Spurs Plan Move for Ecuadorian Defender

Tottenham are planning to sign Ecuadorian left back Christian Ramirez in the summer transfer window, according to a Daily Mail report.

The 17-year-old defender first attracted Harry Redknapp's attention after starring in the Under-17 World Cup last year and is reported to cost around £1.5m.

Ramirez, who plays for Ecuadorian club Independiente Jose Teran, has apparently visited London for negotiations.

The report also says Spurs are close to signing young Argentine centre back, Julian Velazquez.
