At least 40 dead in suspected chemical weapons attack in Syria

At least 40 people were killed and 1,000 were suffocated after a a suspected chemical weapons attack on Douma, the last rebel-held area in Eastern Ghouta, Syria. Footage posted by a local pro-opposition Facebook group shows men and children being treated in hospital.The state run news agency accuses Jaysh al-Islam of inventing the attack to prevent regime advances. A U.N. investigation found evidence Syrian government forces have used chemical weapons in the past.
