Samsung has been reportedly testing the latest version of Kitkat software for its fifth generation Galaxy S series flagship.

Samsung has rolled out Android 4.4.2 KitKat for some of its high-end devices and this includes, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy Note 3 Neo and Galaxy Note 8.0.

However, the update is yet to make its way for company's mid-range and low-end devices. Meanwhile, a leaked document from Samsung suggested Android KitKat roll out schedule for Galaxy S3 Mini LTE, Galaxy S4 Mini LTE, Galaxy Note 3 Neo, Galaxy Grand 2, Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Mega 6.3.

It then appeared that Samsung might upgrade a few of its devices directly to Android 4.4.3 instead of Android 4.4.2, hinting the possibility in delaying the update release.

Now Sammobile, after receiving information from its insider, claims the Android 4.4.3 with build number KTU70 is currently being tested on both the Exynos and Snapdragon variants of Galaxy S5 with model numbers SM-G900H and SM-G900F respectively, and the LTE-A variant of Galaxy S4 bearing model number GT-I9506A. Below is the screenshot showing Android 4.4.3 update status for the aforementioned devices.

Android 4.4.3 Release Timeframe for Galaxy S5/Galaxy S4 LTE-A

Currently, the Android 4.4.3 is only integrated with Samsung's own software and features. Therefore, the Android 4.4.3 update will not be available for a month or even more than that. Google is expected to release the update by the end of this month or, sometime in June before Google I/O. Samsung is expected to release the update to Galaxy S5 and other Galaxy devices after the release.

The listing shows the Android 4.4.3 for Galaxy S4 LTE-A currently being integrated whereas the Android 4.4.2 is said to be being tested for the said device. This indicates that as Android 4.4.2 is not released yet, the Galaxy S4 LTE-A might receive a direct upgrade to Android 4.4.3.

Like the Galaxy S4 LTE-A, Samsung might directly upgrade some of the devices directly to Android 4.4.3. Hence, the roll out might delayed till July or later.
