A male climber is making his way up Trump Tower in New York City using suction cups. The unidentified climber has prompted a massive police response that includes helicopters and airbags.

According to the New York Post, the scraggly looking climber, clad in high-end mountain climbing gear, began making his way up the Midtown building around 2.45pm EDT/7.45pm BST.

Authorities told reporters the climber was spotted at the building around 3.40pm, local time, the New York Times reported.

Witnesses told reporters that within an hour, he had managed to reach what appeared to be the 12th floor. "He keeps going," witness Gerald Lorio told the Post. "The cops can't get him."
