North Korea has put out a new propaganda film that shows its forces targeting and destroying the US Capitol and an aircraft carrier with missiles.

The two-and-a-half minute video presents a montage of Pyongyang's military parades and missile tests along with the targeting of US forces.

The video, which includes a target over the White House, concludes by simulating an explosion of both the US Capitol and an aircraft carrier.

According to the New York Magazine, one of the captions states, "We will show you what a strong country that leads the world in nuclear and missile technology is capable of."

The video also reportedly ends with the words: "The final collapse will begin."

The new propaganda video comes amid rising tensions in the Korean Peninsula, with US officials attempting to pressure Pyongyang to permanently suspend its nuclear weapons program.
