The agent of Fernando Torres has moved to clarify the future of the Chelsea striker after he revealed there have been no discussions with AS Roma or Juventus over a move for the player in the summer.

Juventus were linked with a move for Torres earlier this month, after Goal.com reported the Bianconeri were looking to bolster their strike force with a move for the Chelsea star.

But Torres' agent, Antonio Sanz, quelled speculation linking the Chelsea star with a move to Serie A and insists his client remains happy at Stamford Bridge.

"We know the new project of Roma and the idea of the game by Luis Enrique. If Roma want Fernando they need to talk to Chelsea," Sanz is quoted on Calciomercato. "The Italian league is always high, but currently there are no ongoing discussions with Roma or Juventus."

The £50m striker has scored just twice in 24 Premier League appearances this season but he has impressed since interim manager Roberto Di Matteo took over in March. Against Benfica on Wednesday night the Spain international demonstrated flashes of the dynamic forward play that became the hallmark of his time at Liverpool and Sanz envisions a bright future at Chelsea for his client.

"Fernando has another four-year contract with Chelsea. Now the situation has changed for him," Sanz added. "With Villas-Boas he was not considered, while with the arrival of Di Matteo on the bench, he returned to have the confidence it deserves. He played a great match in Lisbon in the Champions League, with the assist for the winning goal by Kalou. We will evaluate his future in the coming months."
