After rolling out to Google/LG Nexus 5 smartphones in the US, the Android 5.1.1 OS update is now available for users of AT&T-driven Nexus 6 as well.
The update is applicable to AT&T-driven Nexus 6 handsets bearing model number XT1103. However, the network provider has claimed that the update is being seeded in a phased manner. Hence it make take sometime before it reaches all Nexus 6 users.
Enhancements to look out for after installing Android 5.1.1
The OS update brings along numerous bugs fixes that were inherent in the previous version. The camera time-out issue, which was noticed on Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 handsets, will be rectified after installing the latest update. Apart from this, the Chromecast remote pass-through issue has also been solved.
