Where to watch live

Kick-off is set for 3pm BST. Live coverage of the game will be on BT Sport 1 and 1 HD. Radio commentary will be available on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Overview

The FA Cup is Arsenal's only chance to salvage a disastrous season that could most likely see them miss out on a place in the top-four of the Premier League for the first time under Arsene Wenger. The Gunners have had a wretched season since the turn of the year and they are currently in sixth place in the league having won just three of their last nine games.

Arsene Wenger has been unable to arrest the slide in recent months, which has increased the unrest among supporters and calls for him to step down have increased. The Frenchman is yet to reveal his plan for the future with his contract coming to an end in the summer. Uncertainty has loomed over the club for months with many feeling that it is one of the main reasons for their poor form.

The Arsenal boss surprised everyone when he played a 3-4-3 formation against Middlesbrough in their last game and could opt to play the same formation against City on Sunday. Wenger could have Danny Welbeck back in the fold but he will still be without Shkodran Mustafi.

The Etihad Stadium outfit have also been struggling for consistency in recent months after having dropped to fourth place in the league. They have won their last two matches, but won just one of their six before that.

Pep Guardiola's side welcome Gabriel Jesus back into the fold, which will be a big boost after his initial diagnosis suggested he could miss the entire season. He suffered a broken metatarsal just three games into this Premier League career.

City and Arsenal will meet in the FA Cup for the fourth time with their last meeting coming in 1971 when the Gunners won in the fifth round en route to lifting the trophy. They, however, have played at Wembley more recently when the north London club beat City 3-0 in the Community Shield back in 2014.

What managers say

Arsene Wenger: "It's an opportunity to win a trophy this season. What I expect when you go into a semi-final is to go to the final. It is a special experience and, for us, I think we are focused, highly motivated.

"Maybe not at the maximum of our confidence because we had recently some disappointing results, but that is a good opportunity to show we are ready for a fight and how much we want to go to the final," via BBC Sport.

Pep Guardiola [on Gabriel Jesus]: "He is really much better. Today he will make part in the training with us and he is coming back with his happiness. We are so happy he is coming back again.

"We are going to travel, all the squad, to Wembley. He will be part of that. After that we will see," via BBC Sport.
