Bloodborne Guitar Hero
The marriage of guitar peripherals and Bloodborne makes sense given the game is basically an animated heavy metal album cover Sony / Activision

From Software's action horror game Bloodborne is a difficult beast to conquer, that much is well known now it has been released and also given the game's Demon's and Dark Souls lineage. For some it's not hard enough though.

Twitch user Bearzly decided to take the game on using a Guitar Hero controller and not only managed to beat the game, but did so in just nine hours – a substantially shorter time than most could complete it with a regular DualShock controller.

Bearzly live-streamed the whole run on Twitch, and has since created highlight packages on YouTube showing his battles with the games plentiful nightmarish bosses. We've selected a few of these videos, which you can watch below...

This guy is no stranger to absurdist Guitar Hero runs of From Software titles, he completed Dark Souls last year. What next though? The drum set clearly. He's already tackled Dark Souls 2 with one.

Bloodborne has been incredibly well-received since its March launch, selling well for Sony at a time with few new game releases. Earlier this week it was announced that the game passed one million sales worldwide, less than a month after release. Not bad for a series typically thought of as appealing to a niche.

"Bloodborne was a new challenge for us, and our goal was to create a title that took full advantage of the power of PS4," said Sony president Shuhei Yoshida. "I am thrilled that so many users have been enjoying the extremely rich and detailed world, beautiful melancholic atmosphere and palpable tension of Bloodborne."
