Brazil progressed to the quarter-final of the men's football in the Rio 2016 Olympics after beating Denmark 4-0 in the last group stage fixture. Manchester City summer signing Gabriel Jesus was on the scorehseet along with the Premier League target Gabriel Barbosa, who scored a brace.

After a disappointing goalless draw in the first two matches, Brazil had to beat Denmark in order to make it to the next round of the event. Barbosa and Jesus's impressive display made sure they beat Denmark convincingly in order to keep their hopes of winning gold in the men's football alive.

Brazil will now take on another South American nation, Colombia, in the quarter-final clash on 13 August (14 August in the UK). Despite Denmark's defeat, they have also made it to the last eight and will face Nigeria in another quarter-final fixture on Saturday. With Jesus starring for Brazil, IBTimes UK looks at how Twitter reacted to City's summer signing's display.

Gabriel Jesus already looks more involved in his new position, wider and deeper. It didn't take an Einstein to guess.

Gabigol out playing everyone and he's only 19, what a future he will have. Very mature for his age.
