The Coldplay frontman Chris Martin gave an update about life with estranged wife Gwyneth Paltrow during an interview with Valentine in the Morning.

The Yellow singer is believed to be at peace following the couple's decision to end their 11-year marriage, noting that there's nothing much else to say about it.

He admitted that there is "a lot of love" between him and ex Gwyneth Paltrow, reported US Weekly.

The 37-year-old insisted that he and his ex-wife are still "very close" following their split earlier this year but confirmed that they haven't got back together, despite rumours, even though there are feelings between them.

Speaking on radio show Valentine in the Morning he said: "The truth is ... well, I don't really love talking about this stuff. But the thing we told everyone at the beginning of the year is true."

"We are very close. We are not together. But we're, you know, that's the truth and that's it. There's a lot of love. No scandal, I'm afraid. I wish I could give you scandal."

The former couple, who announced they were "consciously uncoupling" in March after 10 years of marriage, have remained amicable since the split by regularly dining together as a family with their children Apple, 10, and Moses, 9.

However, Chris previously suggested that his "issues" were partly to blame for the breakdown of his marriage.

He said: "About two years ago I was a mess really because I can't enjoy the thing that we are good at and I can't enjoy the great things around me because I'm burdened by this ‒ I've got to not blame anyone else and make some changes."
