Doctor Who Season 8 returns on Saturday night with the second episode titled 'Into The Dalek.' The premiere episode featuring Peter Capaldi as the twelfth doctor was appreciated by fans and critics alike.
However, Clara (Jenna Louise Coleman) was visibly shocked to see the 'older' doctor who told her that he is not Clara's boyfriend.
In the premiere episode, Clara was kidnapped by the evil cyborgs but was saved just in time by the Doctor who disguised himself as one of the cyborgs.
The situation leads to a huge clash between Doctor, Clara, Vastra (Neve McIntosh), Jenny (Catrin Stewart) and Strax (Dan Starkey) and the robots. However, the robots were finally defeated when the head cyborg was impaled on the spire of the Big Ben.
The evil robot head later wakes up in a beautiful garden and meets a mysterious woman called Missy, who claims the 12th Doctor as her boyfriend.
The official synopsis of Doctor Who episode 2 titled 'Into The Dalek' reads:
"A Dalek fleet surrounds a lone rebel ship, and only the Doctor can help them now ... With the Doctor facing his greatest enemy, he needs Clara by his side. Confronted with a decision that could change the Daleks forever he is forced to examine his conscience. Will he find the answer to the question, "Am I a good man?"
The second episode will introduce a new character Danny Pink (Samuel Anderson), a former soldier and a colleague of Clara at the Coal Hill School.
Anderson's character will support the Doctor throughout his missions.
"I'm not really a Companion," Anderson told MTV News. "I think I can say that without it really being a spoiler."
"His experiences in the army have molded him to be the kind of guy who stops to smell the roses. He's a normal bloke," he added.
'Into The Dalek' will feature the settling relationship of the Doctor and Clara while the former decides whether he is good or evil.
Doctor Who Season 8 episode 2 will be aired on Saturday 30 August on BBC One at 7.50pm in the UK.
The popular series will be aired on Saturday on BBC America at 8pm in the US.
