Doom Beta

It has been sometime since Bethesda is selling Wolfenstein: The New Order by offering fans a chance to out the next Doom game. A new update from the developer has confirmed that the beta will only be available on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, according to a report by Gaming Blot.

People who purchase Wolfenstein, which will be available on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC, can sign up for the beta registration. A code will be included along with the game, and upon redeeming it, players can register.

Can You Choose the Beta Platform?

"No", said Bethesda. "DOOM beta access correlates to your pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order platform. If you purchase an Xbox 360 or Xbox One version of Wolfenstein: The New Order, you will receive an invitation to the Xbox One DOOM beta.

"PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 purchasers will receive an invite to the PS4 DOOM beta. All PC purchases will receive an invite to the PC DOOM beta. The DOOM Beta will only be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC."

And What About Digital Purchases?

"We are working with Steam, Microsoft, and Sony to help ensure that persons pre-ordering digitally from Steam, Microsoft, and Sony will receive access to the DOOM beta", said the developer.

"Other digital retailers' processes and/or participation may vary. We suggest contacting your preferred retailer directly for additional information," he added.

The news that Doom will be landing only on the PC and next-gen consoles comes as a healthy surprise and it means that gamers who invested an Xbox One or PS4 will finally start having games exclusive to their console generation.
