Actor Kurt Russell has wrapped filming for Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2, which is scheduled for release on 5 May 2017. Director James Gunn and actor Chris Pratt took to social media to share some words of praise for Russell.

Gunn wrote on Facebook, "That's a wrap on Kurt Russell for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. I'll admit I'm welling up a bit. It's not often your heroes are as awesome in person as you believed they were as a kid. A wonderful guy and incredible actor in every way. And he was nice to my Mom, Dad, and dog. I couldn't ask for anything more."

The director also tweeted about the same and admitted there was "a small tear" in his eye following Russel's wrap up.

Chris Pratt called out James Gunn and wrote, "You're not the only one cryin'" and called Kurt Russell "the f****g best". Later clearing his statement, he tweeted, "I'm sorry for the language. But when I'm talking about how f*****g great Kurt Russell is I have to swear."

The studio has released a short synopsis for the upcoming movie, which hints that the sequel will focus on unravelling the "mystery of Peter Quill's true parentage". So, the obvious question — Is Keri Russell playing Peter Quill/ Star Lord's father? Given that Russell's character details are under wraps, Chris Pratt calling him "great" could hint at them playing father-son in the movie. In the comic books, Quill's father is J'Son, the leader of the Spartoi Empire.

Here are the plot details released by Marvel for GOTG 2:

The sequel is written and directed by James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, Karen Gillan, and Kurt Russell.
