Happy 80th Birthday Jane Goodall: Inspirational Quotes from the Lady of the Apes

Today is conservationist Jane Goodall's 80<sup>thbirthday. The British-born anthropologist is believed to be the world's foremost expert on chimpanzees and has expanded out into conservation and animal welfare following her first trip to Kenya in 1957.

To mark her birthday, IBTimes UK has found some of the best quotes from her 60 year career.

1. Chimpanzees, gorillas, orangutans have been living for hundreds of thousands of years in their forest, living fantastic lives, never overpopulating, never destroying the forest. I would say that they have been in a way more successful than us as far as being in harmony with the environment.
