The Chinese jailbreak team, TaiG, has released an untethered jailbreak for Apple's latest iOS 8 iteration, iOS 8.1.1.
The TaiG jailbreak version 1.0.1 works with the iOS 8.0. iOS 8.1 and iOS 8.2 beta running on supported iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch models. The initial release is for the Windows version only.
For those who are using Mac, there is method available using which you can run Windows on your Mac via a free virtual machine and then install the TaiG jailbreak.

How to jailbreak untether iOS 8.1.1 using TaiG on Mac OS X
Step-1: First download Windows 10 Technical Preview and install it on Mac through Parallels Desktop. It is easier for users to get the aforementioned software as they are available for free. Step-2: Once your Mac is running Windows 10 virtual machine, proceed towards the next step. Use TaiG jailbreak as any normal Windows users. Download the TaiG jailbreak version for your iOS device
