Troubled star Lindsay Lohan wants to become a mother - even though she is currently in a rehabilitation centre for alcohol and drug addiction.

Lohan apparently thinks that bringing a child into the world would change her life for good, and the 27-year-old Mean Girls star has asked several male friends to be sperm donors.

However the Daily Star claims one of Lohan's close friends has told her to sort her life out before she thinks about bringing a child into the world.

Meanwhile the Oprah Winfrey Network has confirmed it has agreed a $2m deal with Lohan for an eight-part documentary series about the former Disney star's troubles, her career and her plans for the future.

A statement revealed that "OWN will air an exclusive interview with Oprah and Lindsay Lohan that will tape and air in August and an eight-part documentary series with Lindsay for 2014."

Apparently OWN has been negotiating the deal with Lohan for around four months. She signed the deal while at the Betty Ford clinic and will reportedly also receive two paid assistants and a full-time stylist from Winfrey.

The starlet's mother Dina Lohan, 50 was elated about her daughter's new mentor.

"Oh it's fantastic, if anyone is going to help mentor you, it's going to be Oprah," she stated.

Lohan is currently serving a 90-day court-ordered stint at the Cliffside rehabilitation centre which is expected to conclude on 31 July.
