Lumia Denim update seeding for Lumia devices on Preview for Developers

Microsoft's new Lumia Denim update with Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 enhancements is now available for the device on the Preview for Developers programme.

NokiaPowerUser claims to have been tipped by users who have received the update on their developer preview devices in Europe and US Verizon subscribers. The Lumia 930 in Europe and the Lumia 928 on Verizon have got the update with similar OS version 8.10.14219.

Unlike the previous Lumia Cyan update, wherein users had to downgrade their devices to Windows Phone 8, for the Lumia Denim update there is no such requirement to roll back to the previous OS version.

Other developer preview devices such as Lumia 520, Lumia 620, Lumia 625, Lumia 530 and Lumia 720 will not get the update.

The Lumia Denim update will bring noteworthy changes only for the Lumia 830, Lumia 930, Lumia 1520 and Lumia Icon. There will be barely any changes for other Lumia devices on the latest developer preview update with OS version 8.10.14219.341 and might not even get the update.

As for non-developer devices, the Lumia Denim update is rolling out to Lumia 520, Lumia 530, Lumia 620, Lumia 625 and Lumia 720 and many more in Africa, Latin American and Asian regions. For European users, the new Lumia firmware is available for Lumia 1320, Lumia 930 and Lumia 1520 (for the aforementioned Lumia smartphones as well).
