Snow ho ho: A resort in Maine, US, welcomed 150 skiing and snowboarding Santas on 6 December to raise money for charity. The Santas received a lift ticket to the resort and could ski for free all day in return for a minimum $15 (£10) donation to the local charity, Sunday River Community Fund. Skiers and snowboarders had to wear a full Santa Claus suit – including hat, beard, coat, belt and trousers – to take to the Sunday River resort's Broadway trail. It was the 16th annual Skiing Santas event at the resort, and it raised $3,014 for the fund.
