Manchester United are reportedly on high alert as Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado is set to push for a transfer during the January transfer window.

According to talkSPORT, the Colombian winger is frustrated with life at the Italian club and the lack of Champions League football and is now keen to move away in the upcoming window.

Cuadrado was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window, but the Manchester based club were put off by the hefty fee demanded by the Serie A club.

Apart from United, La Liga giants Barcelona were also keen to take the winger to Camp Nou, and again the move stalled due to the fee being too high.

However, the report claims that the winger is now ready to move and with Fiorentina having a poor season thus far, they seem to be willing to cash in on the winger in January.

Cuadrado, who has scored three goals and provided three assists this season, is contracted to the Serie A club till the summer of 2019, thus giving his current employers the upper hand when it comes to negotiations regarding his transfer away from the club.

Meanwhile, United midfielder Juan Mata has praised teammate Radamel Falcao over his professionalism and is hoping that he can get back to playing and scoring regularly for the Red Devils.

The Colombian striker has been struggling with injuries following his deadline day loan move from AS Monaco this summer and has managed just one goal thus far this season.

"He is training very well and he is waiting for his opportunity like the great professional he is, like the great team-mate he is. It makes me happy that he played [against Liverpool] and it will make me even happier if he can score because he has been playing well in training," Mata said, as quoted on United's official site.
