Belgium manager Marc Wilmots has urged his compatriot Eden Hazard to leave Chelsea in order to join Paris Saint-Germain during the upcoming transfer window.

The 23-year-old Belgian international has flourished under Blues' manager Jose Mourinho this season and is their top scorer with 17 goals and also has made the most contributions with nine assists in all competitions. Hazard, who previously played for Lille in Ligue 1, has attracted interest from PSG due to his current exploits.

The Daily Express had earlier reported that the French champions are willing to shell out £50m for the star forward in the summer.

However, Wilmots stresses that Hazard must consider moving to the French capital if a genuine offer is tabled in order to further bolster his skills.

"It's an opportunity to be taken into serious consideration if he wants to be part of the category of players who make the difference. It's time to raise his level. Hazard and Ibrahimovic are two different players - but highly complementary," the Metro quoted Wilmots as saying.

Hazard was pictured wearing a PSG jersey during the post-match press conference after Chelsea were beaten 3-1 in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal last week. But Mourinho's side advanced into the semi-final on away goals rule with a 2-0 victory in the return leg in London last Tuesday.

The Belgian played a minimal role at Stamford Bridge and limped out in the 18th minute after experiencing a pain in his calf. He is expected to be out for a couple of weeks according to Mourinho.

Hazard is set to be a part of the Belgium squad for the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil where he is expected to play a key role in Wilmots' starting XI.

Meanwhile, Laurent Blanc's side are also reportedly interested in Hazard's teammate at Chelsea, Oscar. The 22-year-old Brazilian midfielder has also been one of the key performers for the west London club in the current campaign and has 13 goals and six assists to his name in all competitions.

It is unlikely that the Mourinho will be willing to sell his two stellar players as the Portuguese tactician intends to build a team around them. However, former Real Madrid manager has stated that Chelsea will consider selling Hazard and Oscar if PSG will make an offer of £300m for both.
