The company's official statement via Twitter (November 2014) says that "there will be windows 10 upgrades for all Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices", but the initial release will be limited to a few Lumia devices only.

Here is the list of devices that will get Windows 10:

US "Our newest Lumia smartphones – the Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL and Lumia 430 Dual SIM – will receive a free upgrade to Windows 10″

UK "The following Lumia smartphones will receive a free upgrade when available: Lumia 435, Lumia 535, Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 735, Lumia 830, and Lumia 930."

Rest of World "Lumia 430, Lumia 435, Lumia 532, Lumia 535, Lumia 540, Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 735, Lumia 830, and Lumia 930."

Looking at the list of Lumia phones in the official statement, it is still not clear if Microsoft is revealing the list of devices that will get Windows 10 Mobile at launch (initial release) or if it is the complete list of Lumia phones that will eventually get the update.

Micosoft seems to have excluded a bunch of phones with 512MB RAM such as Lumia 520 and Lumia 630/635, besides the 6in Windows flagship phone - the Lumia 1520, which flaunts similar specifications as the 930, according to WMpoweruser.

Nevertheless, it must be noted that all Lumia devices are eligible to run Windows 10 via Windows Insider and hence, if the carrier does not release the Windows 10 update, one can still download the same manually via the Windows Insider app.

So, an educated guess is that Microsoft could have listing only those Lumia devices that will get Windows 10 at launch or initial release.
