Alesha Dixon hopes to tackle real-life issues on her show Reuters

She is a former pop star who judges fresh faces on Britain's Got Talent and now Alesha Dixon is gunning for Oprah Winfrey's crown.

The 35-year-old star has revealed that she would love to tackle 'real life issues' on her very own talk show.

"Oprah Winfrey is my biggest idol," she recently told BANG Showbiz. "I absolutely love her and admire her. Her show, I think it's such a powerful platform for people to want to go and express what's going on in their lives and social issues."

"That kind of show, one day, for me, would be so appealing. To have something that is real and deals with real issues and brings attention and light to areas that I'm passionate about."

While Winfrey ruled the airwaves for over 25 years, Dixon is open to a slot on Loose Women, alongside pals Jamelia and Myleene Klass, to help improve her hosting skills.

"I'm a big fan of 'Loose Women', I love the fact it allows you to have a voice and opinion, it's an incredible show. And I love watching Jamelia and Myleene on there - I think they're doing a brilliant job."

Although she hopes to be the queen of daytime TV one day, for now she is focusing on her music career. The mother-of-one's 2010 album The Entertainer spurned hits including Drummer Boy, Every Little Part of Me and Take Control.

"For me, at this moment, it's music - that's my passion, that's why I started out in this industry and that's where my heart is," she said.
