World number one Novak Djokovic will take on Feliciano Lopez in the men's singles fourth quarter-final clash of the 2016 Dubai Open on 25 February (Thursday).

Overview

Djokovic has won the Dubai Open four times and he will be hoping to extend that record in 2016. The last time he won was in 2013 and he is the firm favourite to win the tournament this time.

The Serbian tennis star so far had an easy run in Dubai as both fixtures ended in a comfortable straight set victory. He defeated Malek Jaziri in the second round 6-1, 6-2 and will be looking for another easy win on Thursday.

Lopez, on the other hand registered a berth in the quarter-final after defeating Lukas Rosol. It was an exciting clash between the pair as the second set was decided on a tiebreaker, which was won by Lopez.

The final score was 6-3, 7-6 and the Spaniard will be hoping to defeat Djokovic to manage an upset to progress further in the Dubai Open. However, it will not be an easy task to eliminate the world number 1 from the tournament, especially considering his impressive form.
