In a speech in Austin, Texas, U.S. President Barack Obama touted economic growth on Thursday (July 9) - using progress since the 2008 economic crisis to make his case.
Obama also lambasted Republicans for their lack of cooperation, saying so far this year they had blocked or voted down policies to strengthen the middle class.
