Police issued this e-fit in relation to the alleged rape of the 12-year-old girl Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia

Two paedophiles in Russia reportedly kidnapped and raped a 12-year-old girl while filming the abuse for other child sex offenders on the internet.

The schoolgirl's horrific nine-hour ordeal allegedly began when she had a bag put over her head and was bundled into a waiting car on Tuesday evening (7 November).

The kidnapping happened as she made her way home from a music lesson in Ekaterinburg, Russia's fourth largest city.

The terrified victim was then put into a larger bag and carried to an apartment where she was raped as her two attackers filmed the abuse, Metro reported.

She was ordered to hold up a sheet of paper in her hands with the address of a website – thought to be for paedophiles – before being taken to the bathroom and scrubbed clean.

The young girl was eventually dumped on a highway 10 miles from where she was kidnapped, where she was able to free herself from the bag and get help.

Police say the girl was seized in the Chkalovsky district of Ekaterinburg.

On Thursday (9 November), police spokesman Valery Gorelykh said hundreds of police had been sent to residential blocks to find the culprits. Detectives believe the flat she was taken to was in the Shinny district.

"About 200 policemen were sent to visit residential blocks in the area in a non-stop search," he said.

"Some 50 detectives from the city police office were sent to the district police where the crime took place to provide all possible help. We are using all our forces to uncover this horrendous crime."

Police issued an e-fit of a man they are searching for in connection with the incident.

The case is now being led by the city police chief and head of the Investigative Committee – Russia's FBI.
