A new game based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series may be in development at Platinum Games if a listing at the Australian Classification Board is to be believed. Platinum is the team behind cult classics Bayonetta, Vanquish and more recently Transformers Devastation, based on another classic series.

The game is called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan, and it will be published by Activision – making it the third licensed game developed for them by Platinum, following Transformers and The Legend of Korra. This is the second sighting of the game, which was first spotted by Gematsu on the Brazilian ratings board. This new listing is the one that revealed Platinum is developing the game.

The Australian censor has given Mutants in Manhattan an M rating for violence, with an additional warning that it includes online interactivity, hinting at either a competitive multiplayer mode or more likely a co-op mode.

Activision appears to have a good deal in place with Platinum, a developer that is beloved for its high-octane, action-packed games. Transformers Devastation was well-received by critics and fans despite its fairly short run-time. What the deal between the studio and publisher entails remains to be seen.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan is listed for release on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, and PC.
