AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 is now available for pre-order at its website. The smartphone is available for pre-order priced at £199.99 for a 16GB model on a two-year contract. Apart from pebble blue and marble white models, the company is set to carry an exclusive red version of the Galaxy S3 according to AT&T.

"The addition of the Samsung Galaxy S3 to our portfolio of 4G-LTE devices gives our customers another truly cutting-edge smartphone to choose from," said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president, Devices, AT&T Mobility.

"With an exclusive red colour this summer and the power of the nation's largest 4G network, AT&T delivers the best wireless experience for Galaxy S III fans," Bradley added. Yet, the company has not announced the release date of the red model.

AT&T customers can lay their hands on the smartphone in the "coming weeks". The device will be available for £199.99 for the 16GB model, and after the two-year contract, AT&T stores ares expected to feature a 16GB microSD card priced at £39 for a total of 32GB for under £238.99.

The device weighing just 4.7 ounces comes with a 4.8in HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. In addition, it ships 2GB of RAM. Besides, it comes with AllShare Play, Group Cast and Share Shot functions which allow users to share pictures with a group of friends.

AT&T's new strategy of opting red colour makes it stand apart from the rest of the carriers. Probably, it could have an edge over other carriers because of the exclusive red colour variant.

The carrier is expected to ship the Galaxy S3 on 18 June, according to Droid Matters. When a user tries adding the Galaxy S3 to his/her cart by following the instructions and once the user enters the checkout page, a prompt appears which claims "Your order is scheduled to be shipped on Jun/18/2012".
